- UFV is offering a series of Immigration online webinars. You will learn all you need to know about study and work permits in order to make the most of your new Canadian life. You can also get any questions you may have about Post Graduation Permits (PGWP) answered at these sessions
John Fernando will conduct the IRCC Study/Work/Post Grad Permit workshops. John is a Regulated Immigration Consultant (RCIC) who holds a BBA in Management and has worked as an international academic advisor since 2005 in the BC public post-secondary system. Having successfully pursued his own studies in Indonesia, Sri Lanka, Hong Kong, Australia and Canada, John is able to empathize with situations faced by international students and is well-equipped to provide the academic advice students need to realize their educational goals.

- New Study permit/Work permit terms and conditions as of June 2014
- Temporary Resident Visa (TRV)
- Study permit extension
- Designated Learning Institution (DLI) transfer to UFV
- Different types of work permits available (including post-graduation)
- Immigration rules on academic standing; changing programs and non-study

- Dealing with prior immigration refusals
- This workshop will also highlight the benefits of the Post-Graduation Work Permit (PGWP), while you consider whether to continue your studies or apply to work in Canada. Find out the process at UFV, eligibility requirements and what you need to know as you have a limited time to apply. It is best that you be informed and organized before heading for your final exam preparation.
