Stretching for Stress Relief Workshop / Apr 27 (10-11 am)
facilitated by Dr. Anna Griffith
You will be guided through a series of gentle stretches that lower stress and anxiety, as well as mindfulness and breath techniques to promote calmness. All bodies and abilities are welcome and yoga mats will be provided.
In this workshop, participants will learn about:
- gentle stretches that activate the parasympathetic nerve system to promote rest and recovery:
- mindfulness practices; and
- breathing techniques to calm responses to stress and anxiety
Bring a yoga mat or towel, and you may want a small pillow nearby for maximum comfort. This workshop can be modified to be done seated if you prefer.
Please remember that you must register separately for each session you want to attend.
